Terms & Refunds

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These terms apply to the Mounir Institute website and educational services provided by Mounir Academy Ltd (“we”, “us”). By placing an order, you agree to the terms that apply to that service. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

1. Provider and contact

Mounir Academy Ltd, trading as Mounir Institute, 17 Formans Road, Birmingham B11 3AA, United Kingdom. Email: info@mounirinstitute.com.

2. Services and pricing

We offer Qur’an recitation Maqamaat education, including recorded lessons, online learning and mentoring. The precise features, schedule, price, billing frequency and any access period should be shown on the relevant programme and checkout page before you order. If there is a conflict, the specific offer confirmed at checkout applies, subject to applicable law.

3. Payments and subscriptions

Payments are processed through Stripe or the payment method shown at checkout. A subscription renews at the disclosed billing interval until cancelled. You can request cancellation by emailing info@mounirinstitute.com; include the email address used at checkout and the programme name. We will confirm the effective cancellation date. We must make cancellation straightforward and comply with applicable consumer law. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not remove any rights you have regarding prior payments.

4. 7-day money-back guarantee and statutory cancellation rights

Our money-back guarantee allows you to request a refund within 7 days of your purchase. To request one, email info@mounirinstitute.com within 7 days and tell us the programme and payment details (do not send card numbers). Eligible refunds will be processed through the original payment method where possible.

Applied Maqamaat holding payment. The £25 paid to hold a place on the Applied Maqamaat intake is not a subscription, and no monthly charge starts until launch, with your separate authorisation. If you are offered a place and start, the £25 comes off your first month. If you are not offered a place, or you decide not to go ahead before your first month starts, it is refunded in full to the original payment method.

Recorded Maqamaat Lessons (digital content). Before you pay for the recorded lessons you are asked to tick a separate, unticked box asking for immediate access and acknowledging that you lose the 14-day statutory right to cancel once access begins. We keep a record of that request with your payment. Our 7-day money-back guarantee still applies to this purchase.

This 7-day guarantee is in addition to, and does not reduce, any cancellation or other rights you may have under consumer law. For many online service contracts, consumers have a 14-day statutory cancellation period. Different rules can apply to services that begin during that period and to digital content supplied immediately. Where the law requires a separate express request or acknowledgement before immediate access starts or a cancellation right is lost, we will only rely on the relevant exception where the required steps have been completed. Nothing in these terms removes a right that cannot legally be excluded.

5. Access and acceptable use

Learning materials are for your personal learning unless we agree otherwise in writing. Do not copy, resell, publicly distribute, record or share paid materials, account credentials or private class links without permission. Do not use the site to upload unlawful, abusive or harmful material, interfere with the service, or access another person’s information.

6. Teaching and outcomes

We provide educational instruction and feedback. Progress varies with experience, practice, attendance and individual circumstances; we do not guarantee a particular recitation result, qualification or outcome unless a specific written offer expressly says otherwise.

7. Scheduling and service changes

Lesson schedules, teachers and programme details may need reasonable changes. We will communicate material changes and seek an appropriate resolution if a change substantially affects a service you purchased. Nothing here excludes remedies required by law.

8. Accounts, conduct and safeguarding

Keep login details secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised use. Students must behave respectfully and follow reasonable class and safeguarding instructions. We may suspend access where necessary to protect students, staff, systems or the integrity of the service, while considering any applicable refund or consumer rights.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are responsible only for losses that are reasonably foreseeable consequences of our breach of these terms.

10. Complaints and governing law

Please email info@mounirinstitute.com so we can try to resolve concerns. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
