Safeguarding Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Mounir Institute is committed to treating students with dignity and helping children and young people learn in a safe, respectful environment. This page sets out our intended safeguarding principles; it does not replace a full operational safeguarding procedure or any legal duties.

1. Our principles

2. Parents and guardians

For learners under 18, a parent or legal guardian should be involved in enrolment and should be able to contact us about schedules, communication, recordings and concerns. Parents/guardians should ensure the learner has a suitable environment for online lessons and understands safe online behaviour.

3. Online lessons and communication

Use official class links and agreed communication channels. Avoid sharing private class links, student contact details or recordings. Do not post another student’s recording or personal information without appropriate permission. Any recording of a lesson should be disclosed in advance and handled with appropriate permission and safeguards.

4. Raising a concern

Students, parents or guardians can raise a concern with info@mounirinstitute.com. If someone is in immediate danger in the UK, call 999. Concerns about a child should be referred promptly to the appropriate local safeguarding authority or police where necessary.

5. Staff and implementation

We aim to ensure people working with learners understand expected boundaries and how to report concerns. Before teaching children, the organisation should put in place appropriate role checks, staff training, a named safeguarding lead, a documented reporting/escalation process, secure record keeping and any required background checks.

For questions about learner safety or appropriate arrangements for a young learner, contact us before enrolment at info@mounirinstitute.com.
